SkyBlue and Fair Cities were warmly received by over 40 local jobskeers from the city centre, eager to learn more about training as a rail trackman at a special Recruitment Day hosted at the Emerald Centre in Small Heath yesterday.

SkyBlue has teamed up with Fair Cities in a bid to open up work opportunities to all, including those people currently unemployed.

This new initiative will see eligable job seekers receive an intensive two week training course - funded by Fair Cities - to gain a Personal Track Safety (PTS) card that will then enable them entry to work on the UK's rail infrastructure.

Both organisations will provide the pre-employment training and in the long term SkyBlue aims to secure ongoing rail work for the successful candidates.

Keep a look out for news on similar intitiatives here at www.skybluesolutions.com, or contact your local SkyBlue branch.

SkyBlue is working with a number of other organisation to replicate these types of opportunities throughout the country.
